Under the name stainless steel, there are a lot of different kinds of steel (alloys) with different corrosion resistance, depending on the factors that cause it. The 304 stainless steels and 316 acid-resistant steels are the most often used in street furniture. The use of stainless or acid-resistant steels does not mean that the products made of them will not bear marks of corrosion. The surfaces of the products are exposed to dirt from the surrounding environment, including soiling with iron compounds, which may cause unsightly, difficult to remove stains, resembling corrosion marks, especially on grinded surfaces. With this in mind, we apply colourless powder coating to steel elements used in our products, which definitely facilitates their maintenance in excellent aesthetic condition.
